Fourth Anniversary of the Death of Comrade Hardial Bains

On August 24, the fourth anniversary of the death of Comrade Hardial Bains, the Manitoba Branch of the Communist Party of Canada (Marxist-Leninist) renewed its commitment to carry on the important work which he began, the work to build the communist movement in Canada and prepare the subjective conditions for socialist revolution.

The Manitoba Branch of CPC(M-L) was quite fortunate to have worked closely with Comrade Bains during the last few years of his life on a project to build the unity of the revolutionary movement in our region. His guidance was a crucial ingredient in the successes that our branch has achieved to date. The most important lesson that he imparted to us was the necessity to stand on our own feet and think for ourselves. He repeatedly emphasized the absolute necessity for every communist to learn from their own experience by being actively involved in the revolutionary movement. He stressed that only if one is an organizer can theory actually become a guide to practice. That lesson has served us well in the difficult years following his death.
