Winnipeg Action Opposes Canada’s Involvement

in U.S. Missile Defence Program

On Saturday October 2 the No War Coalition held an information picket at the office of Liberal Cabinet minister Reg Alcock to protest potential Canadian involvement in the U.S. missile defence program. The demonstration was extremely well received by those driving by. The action was part of a cross Canada day of demonstrations and pickets which saw actions in twenty-seven Canadian cities.
