The sixth annual United May Day Banquet was held in Winnipeg on the evening
of April 30 with close to 300 people in attendance. A dinner of wonderful East
Indian food was followed by an evening of revolutionary music through the ages
performed by a string quartet of young musicians from Ontario
and Saskatchewan
and spoken word poetry performed by several young political activists.
Following the singing of The Internationale, a dance
was organized, with a number of local professional artists providing the music
and singing. Below are some scenes from the banquet.
